Magnum, the legendary ice cream has become the meme, the talk of the town! Everyone is into it, not just the celebrities in Twitterverse, but people actually flock to the freezer in 7/11 for it. Amidst all the bells and whistles, does it really have the magic that enchants and caresses the tastebuds? Oh yes, it does! I just finished two sticks.
The wanderer's journey through minimalism and simplicity, discovering the wonders of every day, smelling the sweet aroma of arts and literature, enjoying the gifts of friendship, and the loveliest beauty of nature--he keeps on wandering and wondering.

My Navi Planner |
Last Christmas, someone gave me my wished Navi Planner as an exchange gift. Above are the tickets of the first movie we watched this year (Enteng ng Ina Mo, then Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow) and the credit card that I punctured after being surprised by how much I owe when I received the bill.

Firsts
Category: Journals of Journeys
I thought I was going to spend the new year hooked on the phone. Thanks God I didn't. They say, the sky parts at midnight as the new year comes, and I always wanted to witness it in the streets. So we abandoned our stations and ran to Ayala where the count-down party was. And that was it, I spent my new year running and partying and watching fireworks. Will this be the metaphor of what this new year's gonna be? If it is, it means an awesome year ahead! (What could be more awesome than watching fireworks!)
I have already made my credo last November so I’m not crazy about New Year Resolutions. I made mine on my birthday. Instead, I’ll share how I started the year the Mayans thought to be the end of the world.
1st awesomeness: watching fireworks!
1st city: Makati City, which was enveloped in smog; permeated with black powder.
1st book: 2011 was a year of reading good books. I ended the year reading a book that I truly like (the Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini). I am looking forward to a great reading experience this 2012.
I'm starting the year with the famous/infamous The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger. This is, in fact, a re-reading. I've read an ebook version between talking calls several years ago at PeopleSupport. I'm reading it now from a copy a friend gave me.
1st movie for 2012 is a comedy--Enteng ng Ina Mo (at Greenbelt with Aldous). It is a truth universally acknowledged that if you start the year happy, you'll be laughing all the way. Live life lightly. Laugh!
It matters not how everything starts, nor it is important how it ends; it is what comes along the way that counts. Yet it is nice to start the year wondrously.
